Job description

This specific EU contract is mainly for the provision of consulting services for the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) Collaboration Platform. This platform will be based on the Atlassian Ecosystem.
CITnet is an information sharing portal and a set of web collaborative development tools for the Commission IT community based on the Open Source working model, using mostly Open Source tools, for both Open Source and proprietary solutions.
The System Administrator will be integrated within the technical team and, in this context, will also operate actions for the platform when it will be possible, depending on the agenda and when it will be required by the project manager.

Description of tasks:

• Setting up the platform with help of the technical team;
• Providing technical assistance to the team to implement Jira projects and Confluence spaces;
• Operating the day to day support actions to maintain the platform in an operational level.
• Producing technical documentation and user guides to use the platform;
• Designing workflows, security an notification schemes and all the schemes needed to customize correctly the Jira projects. Some plugins will have to be deployed, maintained and configured to help the users to fulfill their business needs;
• Managing the documentation, the promotion and collaboration around the “building blocks”. The person will join a support team and will be in charge of an ALM platform named CITnet.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Good knowledge of Linux is an asset
• A deep knowledge as System Administrator of the Atlassian Ecosystem
• Very good knowledge of English (documentation and participate in meetings)

• Version Control System (SVN, Git)
• Issue Tracker (Jira),
• Agile Iteration Management, Collaborative Code Review (Fisheye/Crucible)
• Software Code Repository (Nexus)
• Continuous Integration (Bamboo)
• Collaborative Documentation (Confluence/Gliffy/Balsamiq).

PERSONAL SKILLS:

• Ability to work in an international/multi-cultural environment,
• Capability and experience in team working
