Advanta Digital (a FinTech Consultants group company) are seeking an experienced XHTML / Javascript / CSS developer with Phonegap experience to join our team developing location-aware applications IPhone. The role is based at our offices in Boston, Lincolnshire, starting late April / early May.

This role is ideal for an expert Javascript / XHTML developer wishing it gain experience of development using Phonegap IPhone / jQTouch

The work will include development of new iPhone application components which integrate into our existing JSON / XML-enabled back-end. If you’ve got attention to detail and passion for writing well-documented and high quality code and a willingness to help our clients integrate the components into their applications, this could be the role for you.

Note that the role is based in our offices in Boston, Lincolnshire – you must be able to be based in our offices.

Essential skills

• Prior experience of developing applications using the iPhone Phonegap (+ Javascript / XHTML) or jQTouch
• Prior experience of Integrating IPhone applications into serverside applications using RESTful web services (with XML or JSON)
• XSD / XML schema experience
• Ability to document code to a high standard (incl inline docs and wiki docs)

Skills which are helpful but not essential:

• Javascript / CSS / XHTML web design skills for web / mobile platforms (eg Blackberry, Android)
• Objective C / Cocoa experience
• Prior iTunes AppStore application deployment
• Familiarity with cryptography concepts
